Don't get your hopes up

I got this to take to sport days with the kids. After breaking my dominant arm, I thought this might make carrying heavier things (like a cooler) easier. It did. But it leaked within the first 10 minutes of filling it up. And not just a little.
I was going to return it, but since it's still insulated (even if it leaks), I've decided to keep it for long days out and about where we need to keep our water bottles/ lunches cool and I just throw freezer packs in there, rather than actual ice. I love that it has extra pockets because I can use it in place of my purse on days like that, but I really had higher hopes for it and was disappointed.

Ok for some applications, doesn’t work for my needs

These cooler backpacks are not a new thing; people in the building trades and who work outdoors have used them for many years. Now they’re being marketed for picnics, wine bottles, beach trips and have weird extras that are unnecessary if you just need to use it for a daily backpack cooler for work.

The bag does hold a lot but is too huge for me; even leaving the house the bag gets stuck in the door. I cannot think of what to use the side zipper pockets for. The worst part of the bag are the arm straps; they need to be curved in such a way so the straps don’t dig in to your boobs and inner arms when walking. Maybe taller people, women with small boobs, or men would find this bag more comfortable. This would be even more uncomfortable if I loaded it up with tons of bottles as I assume the majority of those seeking to purchase intend to do. At most I have 4 drink bottles, some food containers, phone, wallet, keys, extra shirt, hat…… I’m not weighing it down much but it’s still uncomfortable to wear for a walk to, from, and around work. I’ve now used it for a work week to see if I would get used to it, but this bag just doesn’t work for me.

The other annoyance is the zipper. Most of the time I have to readjust the zipper and liner for it so it’ll zip shut correctly because it becomes inside out (each half flips so they’re facing away from each other). The lip of it just isn’t long enough to hold it’s shape staying right side round. This happens especially on the 2 corners so I can only zipper it shut a quarter or three quarters shut without having to fix it. Therefore I just kept the bag open because I got tired of fixing it several times a day. Photo shows what I mean; it’s hard to explain for me.

Great for a day trip in the car, a short walk somewhere, to keep in the trunk incase of a grocery run to keep items cold on a hot day if you aren’t going straight home. It does hold it’s shape; it stands up on it’s own. Several others I’ve bough flop over and I find that annoying; this one stays upright even with the lid flopped open. The photos make it appear the inside has a plastic lining, like a hard lining on the lid and a hard lining for the inside, but it is soft. Fine by me, but some people may purchase based on the photos which are incorrect.

It kept my items cold in 95 degree F temps, but the bag was not stored in direct sun. I only used 2 frozen water bottles; not a backpack full of ice, so I cannot say if it leaks since I didn’t have melted ice in it.

Not Leak Proof

Purchased this item in 2022. This was our go to cooler for normal weekend summer activities, sporting events, camping and beach trips, its now 2024, and this thing leaks like a sieve!!!!!!!!!

Too heavy when it has bottles and cans of liquids

This cooler bag is very heavy with ice, bottle and cans of beer in it. Too heavy to carry on shoulder.
It was a challenge carrying it back to my car after attending a picnic in the park, other than that, it is nice.
